People always assume that squats require flexibility in the hips and strength in the quads but you also need flexibility in the shoulders and calves, and strength in the feet. In fact, the role of our feet and calves is often overlooked and this factor could improve squat form and performance immensely, so I made a free and quick youtube video on this very subject:
